VISITING
1. Appointment
This scheme was established to appoint officer that have expertise to undergone his/her task as a visitor that will involved in teaching, learning, consultation and research.
This scheme was also used to appoint non Malaysian before UPM get the approval from Public Service Department of Malaysia or Ministry of Higher Education to appoint them as an academic officer (contract).
2. Term of Appointment
i) Certified by Evaluation Committee at Faculty/Institute/Centre/Academy.
ii) Certified by Selection Committee (Teacher)
iii) Approved by University’s Management
3. Criteria
Expert in related fields for teaching, learning, consultation and research tasks.
4. Scope of Work
i) To give lecture on certain topics to students and staffs.
ii) To give seminar to students and staffs.
iii) To handle or assist in handling teaching course and to assist in supervision of students.
iv) To give views and advice as an expert/consultant.
v) To assist staff in obtaining professional recognition.
5. Term of Service
i) Appointment Term : Full time
ii) Duration : One month to a year and can be re-appointed.
iii) Monthly : Visiting Professor - RM11,372.00
affix Visiting Associate Professor - RM 5,850.00
Visiting Lecturer - RM 5,450.00
iv) Medical : For oneself only either at Panel Clinics or
Facilities Government Hospitals.
v) Flight Fare : Economy class to officer only.
vi) Annual Leave : 30 days per year

This scheme was established to achieve an excellent result from academic officer and non academic whom expert and experienced in his/her field that will be benefited to University.
2. Term of Appointment
i) Certified by Evaluation Committee at Faculty/Institute/Centre/Academy.
ii) Certified by Selection Committee (Teacher)
iii) Approved by University’s Management
3. Criteria
i) A distinguished/member/figure in his/her field either in academic or expertise.
ii) Has to be eminent and University community will be benefited from his/her presence.
iii) Experienced and achieved excellent success in his/her field.
iv) Candidates open to Malaysian and non Malaysian.
4. Scope of Work
i) To finish up writing project within appointment period.
ii) To write progress report.
iii) To give lecture/seminar depending on University’s requirement.
5. Term of Service
i) Appointment Term : Full time
ii) Duration : 6 months – 2 years
iii) Monthly : RM3,500.00 per month

iv) Medical : For oneself only either at Panel Clinics or
Facilities Government Hospitals.
v) Royalty : University will prepare the facilities that are needed to
come out with writings. However, writings and
publications produced belongs to the University. Royalty (if appropriate) will be paid by following the University’s terms and regulations

1. Appointment
This scheme was established to appoint candidates into the University service to obtain expertise and their experiences that will be benefited to the University in research fields.
2. Term of Appointment
i) Certified by Evaluation Committee at Faculty/Institute/Centre/Academy.
ii) Certified by Selection Committee (Researcher)
iii) Approved by University’s Management
3. Criteria
Open to local and foreign candidate and must:
i) Have excellent research records.
ii) Have expertise that will be needed by Faculty/Institute/Centre/Academy for research purposes.
4. Scope of Work
i) To do research work including consultation in his/her expert fields.
ii) To supervise in post graduate level.
iii) To assist in obtaining more research funds.
iv) To assist in generating new projects at Faculty/Institute/Centre/Academy.
v) To mentor to new researchers.
vi) To assist in developing commercialization of research products.
vii) To develop research linkage/network with other agencies.
5. Term of Service
i) Appointment Term : Full time
ii) Duration : 1 year and extendable.
iii) Monthly : 1) Prime Researcher :According to VK5, VK6 or VK7
affix 2) Senior Researcher :According to Grade 54
3) Researcher :According to Grade 45-52
iv) Medical : For oneself only either at Panel Clinics or
Facilities Government Hospitals.
v) Flight Fare : Business class for Prime Researcher and Senior Researcher
whereas Economy class for Researcher (officer only).
vi) Annual Leave : 30 days per year

a) Consultant Fellow
i) Achieved and excellent level of quality
ii) Poses a broad experience in his/her field.
b) Senior Consultant
i) Achieved an excellent level of quality
ii) Poses a broad experience in his/her field.
c) Prime Consultant Fellow
i) Achieved an excellent level of quality
ii) Poses a broad experience in his/her field.
4. Scope of Work
i) To carry out consultant works in his/her field
ii) To establish network with oversea experts.
iii) To assist lectures and consultancy at Faculty/Institute/Centre/Academy.
5. Term of Service
i) Appointment Term : Full time
ii) Duration : Short term basis not more than one year and extendable.
iii) Monthly : 1) Prime Consultant :According to VK5 and VK6

3) Consultant :According to Grade 54

3. Criteria
Open to all candidates from local and oversea and must fulfill these criterions:
i) Poses an excellent record of service.
ii) Poses the expertise needed by the Faculty/Institute/Centre/Academy for research, consultation, teaching and learning.
4. Scope of Work
i) Liaison work with agency.
ii) Heading the research/consultation
iii) Giving public lecture
iv) Giving seminar
v) Giving training
vi) Mentoring new lecturer
5. Term of Service
i) Appointment Term : Full time or half time
ii) Duration : One year and extendable.
iii) Monthly : Based on the salary and allowance received by a Professor
affix or honorarium decided by the Selection Board/University’s
Management.
iv) Medical : For oneself only either at Panel Clinics or
Facilities Government Hospitals.
v) Flight Fare : Business class for officers only or whatever been decided
by the University’s management.

This scheme is establish to provide financial support for the appointment of post doctoral to involve in fulltime research at the faculty and institute of higher learning. Through research activities being done, this would contribute to the increasing of national prioritized research.
2. TERM OF APPOINTMENT
i) Certified by Supervisor at Faculty/Institute/Centre/Academy
ii) Supported by Head of Department
iii) Supported by Deputy Director (Research and Innovation)/Director
iv) Certified by Selection Committee (Researcher)
3. CRITERIA
Open to local and foreign candidate and must:
i) Have research experience at level of philosophical doctoral degree
ii) Have knowledge and minimum expertise that will be needed by Faculty/Institute/Centre/Academy for research purposes
4. SCOPE OF WORK
i) To do research work including consultation in his/her expert fields
ii) To assist in generating new projects at Faculty/Institute/Centre/Academy
iii) To assist in obtaining more research funds
iv) To mentor to new researchers
v) To supervise in post graduate level
vi) To assist in developing commercialization of research products

i) Appointment Term : Full time
