August 16^th, 2017 - Institute of Advanced Technology (ITMA) has organized the meeting with Prof. Dato 'Dr. Husaini Omar (Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) of Universiti Putra Malaysia. Among the guests present were ITMA Deputy Director, Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Nizar Hamidon with ITMA Head of laboratories, Director of Putra Science Park (PSP) Dr Samsilah Roslan along with PSP Deputy Director Dr. Zahira Mohd Isha.

The ceremony commenced with a welcoming speech by En. Din Ayup as the emcee followed by presentations by the Deputy Director of ITMA. The ceremony was continued with a briefing by TNCPI UPM. Yang berbahagia Dato 'emphasizes on how to make ITMA a recognized institute and able to contribute towards the progress of the country. He also suggested that ITMA to create a business plan to further enhance the image of ITMA as an institute that conducts nanotechnology research.

He also announced the UPM research grants incentives for any researcher who wants to seek cooperation opportunities in research abroad. It is hoped that with the announcement of this research incentive can boost up the spirit of the researchers to enhance their efforts in advancing the field of research.
